Soup = the new Cupcake?

One of my favorite blogs, Big Girls Small Kitchen, recently did a similar post about the wonders of making soup! Quotes by Rocco DiSpirito included! Their recipe is a bit more complicated, but it definitely follows the same basic pattern for soup-making. Check it out here.


  1. I'm still waiting on a more detailed post about your immersion blender... is it a hand blender? I think we might actually have it, too, so I'd love to hear more about your obsession, ha.

  2. Yes! I believe it is the same as the hand blender. It is ideal for soups and sauces, because transferring to the regular blender is messy and difficult. Plus, I'm always anxious to eat and waiting for your soup to cool before blending (or doing it in many small batches) is a total hassle.

    Immersion blenders ensure that your soup is truly a one-pot meal, and create very little mess, unless of course you accidentally lift the head out of the soup and send it splattering! xx Calvine
